skype fail!

Margaret and I tried to Skype tonight but it failed miserably because her internet connection was bad.  Im extremely angry at this because I didn't get to capture any solid facial expressions.  I guess you'll have to settle with this older gallery of photos.  Enjoy!!

what is love?

This is the cutest thing I have ever seen. Kids say the darndest things. Look at what some of them said when asked "What is love?"

"Love is when you go out to eat and give somebody most of your French Fries without making them give you any of theirs." --Chrissy, age 6

"Love is when you tell a guy you like his shirt, then he wears it everyday." --Noelle, age 7

"Love is when your puppy licks your face even after you left him alone all day." --Mary Ann, age 4

"When someone loves you, the way they say your name is different. You just know that your name is safe in their mouth." --Billy, age 4

"Love is what makes you smile when you're tired." --Terri, age 4

Lifedates (aka Life Updates)

We are NOT avoiding our blog. I promise. We are actually waiting on some news (that is taking a lot longer than expected) hence the blogging hiatus (except for Matt's cute post dedicated to my photography). I can't tell you what we're waiting for...because we don't want to jinx it (knock on wood). But I will give you a few other lifedates (or life-updates...cute right?)

Work: I am finishing up my FOURTH week of work at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney. Incredible. I actually am really enjoying working there. Everyone is really great and it's just a different environment for me. So far so good. Plus I got MY FIRST FULL-TIME PAYCHECK. yowsers. too bad I have already spent half of it paying off my credit card for all the new work clothes I bought.  Part of doing well at work is looking good at work, right? Please just agree with me so I feel better.

School: Matt is all done with his class finals and is finishing up with studio. He should be done next tuesday, so send him positive vibes to get him through this! If you're reading this (which I know you will) I love you and you will be awesome. YOU ARE ALMOST DONE with third year. Crazy.

Amber McCormick: graduated from UC Irvine. Girl got her degreeee. Congrats :) I love youuu!

Kery (Bro-sef): finished up his first year of college. EVEN CRAZIER. Good job brothhaaa. Proud of you.

Graduation: I graduated ONE YEAR AGO. Isn't that insane? I'm turning 23 in a little under a month. Another scary thought. What is going on? Where is all the time going? I feel like one of those blubbering moms thinking...omg where did all the time go? How did my baby grow up so fast, except that I am the baby? I don't know. I am blubbering now. But maybe you understand what I'm trying to say?

Anyways, tomorrow i'm kicking it poolside and working on my tan. I love summer.

The Fray Concert!

Guess who's HERE!?!?!?!?

THAT GUY!

Matt arrived yesterday afternoon via SFO and I picked him up! We had big plans....Fray Concert at the Fillmore!! A couple weeks ago, I met up with this random dude from Craigslist (haha this sounds so sketchy) and bought two tickets to this concert....because Matt LOVES THE FRAY (actually this is like the understatement of the year. He loves the fray like i love taylor swift). Anyways, we decided to meet up with my friend Nicole for some drinks in San Francisco. We were on our way to 21st amendment, when we stumbled upon this cute Mexican restaurant, Maya. They had two dollar tacos (and 21st doesn't really have happy hour), so we decided to stop here. The tacos here....are small, but DELICIOUS. We recommend eating here :) Afterwards, we decided to head over to the Fillmore area. We found out that the doors weren't opening until 8 (and it was only 7:30), so of course we decided to eat and drink some more. We found a cute restaurant called Rassela's that turned out to be a jazz club that served Ethiopian food (I know, random) and stopped there because they had the Giants game on. Good decision. They had yummy chicken wings. We finished watching the rest of the Giants game (great win by lincecum. Welcome to the majors Brandon Crawford!! Grand slam baby) and finally decided it was time to go into the Fillmore. It's beautiful there. Walking through the hallways....there are hundreds of photos of famous musicians who have performed at the Fillmore in the past. This place has so much history and it's the best venue ever. It's known for its intimate setting, which really allows concert goers and the bands to really interact. It's amazing. For the fray, it was like a big open room where everyone stood and rocked out with the band. The Fray is such an amazing band (this is our second time seeing them) and they never cease to impress with their live performances. They started off with a new song and went straight into Over My Head. They played all their greatest songs, How to Save a Life, Happiness, Syndicate, All At Once....and they played at least 4-5 new songs. They even dedicated to Justin Bieber!!!! It was Never Say Never. Haha appropriate. Their dedication only made me love them more :) It really was the best concert experience I've ever had. Plus Isaac, the lead singer, parted the crowd and walked through the crowd high-fiving people. It was AWESOME. And it was Isaac's birthday 18 hours before, so we tried to start a happy birthday song with the people around us, but it didn't catch on :( Anyways, I'm excited for the Fray's new music to come out....and even more excited to go to more concerts at the Fillmore!!

Parachute is our new favorite band!!

Some of you may have heard of the band Parachute. They sing that song "She is Love." Probably the most well known song they have. Matt and I discovered them this weekend. Well I found them a couple of week's ago, because they came out with a new song that I love called "Kiss Me Slowly." But Matt found a free song of theirs, "What I Know" on iTunes and decided to download it. He loved it, so he told me to download it. So I did. And I loved it. Which made me browse through their new CD, The Way It Was. This CD is awesome. My absolute favorite song on their cd is called "Forever and Always." It's really sad, but it is just beautiful. I almost cried (actually I did) the first time I heard it. It's that good. Buy this song. Heck buy the whole CD.

Here it is:

i want you forever and always.

this song is sad but SOOOOO GOOOOOOOD!!
